Single Audit for Non-Accountants & CPAs

2020 and 2021 have been atypical, to say the least. With the approval of so many economic relief packages and programs, there has been a flood of federal funding. Many companies will undergo a single audit for the first time. It is critical to know what to expect when you are expecting a single audit, and make sure you are prepared for what it entails. We will discuss what is a single audit and the importance of the 2 CFR 200, the award letter, and grant agreements.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe what is a single audit and who is required by law to undergo one

  • Learn the importance of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 200

  • Learn how to utilize key guiding documents specific to a grant such as the award letter and the grant agreements
