Pandemic Response Funding, Perils and Pitfalls

This session will discuss CARES Act (and additional relief funding, if any), requirements and what is coming next. Specifically, we will discuss experiences post-Recovery Act, common audit findings, how to avoid them and what to expect when the Inspector General audits start.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review key components of the COVID-19 funding landscape against the fundamentals of financial assistance compliance

  • Use examples from COVID-19 funding to illustrate broader compliance points

  • Apply lessons learned from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (“ARRA”) and the audits that came after
