Twanisha Glass Elected to NGMA Board of Directors

May 1, 2026 – MANASSAS, VA – Twanisha Glass, director of grant services with the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services Division of Victim Services has been elected to serve on the National Grants Management Association (NGMA) Board of Directors. Her three-year term began on May 1.

Glass’s career spans more than two decades across state and local government, corporate compliance, and nonprofit financial oversight. In her current role, she oversees statewide compliance, financial systems, audits, risk assessment and multimillion-dollar federal and state-funded portfolios supporting over 800 victim service programs. Glass has represented the local and state government sectors in partnering with nonprofits and educational systems. She provides firsthand knowledge of program needs, operational challenges, implementing federal requirements and more at the state and local levels.

“Twanisha Glass is a welcome addition to the NGMA Board,” said Lashon Brown, CGMS, NGMA President. “Her experience, particularly in state and local government leadership roles, will help NGMA ensure its direction remain relevant, objective and responsive to its members so they can continue to best serve their organizations and communities.”

Glass holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and has successfully completed Sigma Six training. She serves on multiple nonprofit and community boards, including the National Association of VOCA Assistance Administrators (NAVAA), Wayne County Healthy Communities, and was a founding board member of Birth Detroit. Glass was a speaker at NGMA’s 2026 Annual Grants Training, the largest annual training event in the grants management profession.

Glass was elected by Association members by majority vote during the NGMA Board elections in February 2026. The NGMA Board of Directors is comprised of 12 member volunteers with experience in professional leadership roles and in grants management across numerous sectors including federal, state and local governments; education (K-12 and institutes of higher education); nonprofits; and tribal governments.

NGMA supports more than 7,500 professionals across grants management, including supervisory, support, accounting and compliance roles.
