About NGMA

Policies

NGMA reserves the exclusive right to modify, postpone/reschedule or cancel programs for any reason, including but not limited to emergency, inclement weather or other ‘acts of God’. If there is an event cancellation, every attempt will be made to reschedule, and registration fees will be applied to the rescheduled event date as appropriate. Any travel, lodging, or incidental expenses incurred related to a cancelled event cannot be refunded under any circumstances. If a cancelled event cannot be rescheduled, NGMA will determine an equitable basis for the refund of a portion or all of the registration fees, after due consideration of circumstances and expenditures.

Cancellation notifications will be sent out via email using the registration email address.

Individuals with invoices over 90 days in arrears may be subject to suspension of membership.

Proof of payment is required before attendance is allowed at any NGMA event.

Cancellation Policy

All AGT registration cancellation requests must be submitted by the registrant by email to info@ngma.org.
NGMA will not accept requests from an employer.

Cancellations received by the posted deadline (available on AGT page) are eligible for the following refunds:

  • Registered at Member rate – Eligible for a refund of total amount minus a $50 service fee.
  • Registered at Non-Member Rate – Eligible for a refund of total amount minus a $200 service fee. Registrations who selected AGT Plus option will maintain access to NGMA member resources one year after date of original purchase.

Bounced checks or stop payments will result in a $50 charge.

After the posted cancellation date, no refunds or credits will be issued.

No credits or refunds will be given to no-shows.

Cancellations made due to unforeseen circumstances that fall outside of the cancellation policy dates:

Proof/documentation backing up the reason for cancellation must be submitted with the cancellation via email to info@ngma.org. NGMA’s Executive Director will review the request and provide a final decision within 30 days of the event’s conclusion.

No credits will be given in lieu of refunds. Refunds by check may not be issued until the conclusion of the event.

Notice of cancellation or substitution to NGMA does not include hotel accommodations. Please contact the hotel directly to change or cancel reservations.

Substitutions/Transfers Policy

  • Cancellations made before posted deadline (available on GMBoK Training page) will be eligible for a $50 refund.
  • Cancellations within the late window posted on the event page are eligible for a refund of total amount minus $300 charge (includes service fee and the cost of the GMBoK Guide©
  • No refunds or credits will be issued after final date posted on event page.
  • No credits or refunds will be given to no-shows.
  • No credits will be given in lieu of refunds. Refunds by check may not be issued until the conclusion of the event.
  • A $50 service fee will be charged for bounced checks and stop payments.

Substitution/Transfer Policy

Should a non-member substitute for a member, the difference between fees will be due at the time of transfer.  It is the responsibility of the prior registrant(s) to give new registrant(s) GMBoK Guides which have already been shipped. If additional guide(s) are requested, payment for those guides will be due prior to shipment.

Individual Training Agreement

NGMA’s Virtual GMBoK Training is an individual training. It is a violation of NGMA policy to distribute the login information or show this training to a non-registrant individual or group. Violation of this policy will result in NGMA refusing future access to events, trainings or publications. Please contact info@ngma.org if you wish to use this virtual event in a classroom setting or host a private GMBoK Training (25+ individuals required).

License Agreement for GMBoK’s Online Materials

All attendees agree to the License Agreement for GMBoK’s Online Materials.  Individuals may not reproduce, email, transfer, store the materials in an accessible server, use them for sale, resale or other commercial use. Only the registered licensee shall be allowed to access and utilize these materials.

No refund is available for free webinars. To cancel a free webinar registration and stop receiving attendee emails relevant to the free webinar, email info@ngma.org. Any purchase made of a webinar at a non-member rate includes one year of NGMA membership. Individual memberships are non-refundable. See full membership policies here.

Refunds are available for purchased asynchronous courses, less a $50 service fee, under the following conditions:

  • The request is submitted by the account holder via email to info@ngma.org.
  • The request is submitted within 14 days of purchase.
  • The course has not been started.
  • Refunds will be in the original form of payment and cannot be given as a credit toward future purchases.

No transfers or substitutions are available for on-demand courses.

No refunds are available after the course has been started.

Any purchase made of an on-demand course at a non-member rate includes a year of NGMA membership, and that membership fee is non-refundable.

On-demand courses must be completed within one year of enrollment/purchase. If the course is not completed in that time, the user will be to re-enroll or repurchase the course.

The course price must be paid in full before access is granted.

The following recording activities are prohibited at NGMA events:

  • Capturing video, audio, or photography of slides, exhibitor/sponsor interactions or presentations without the presenters/author’s permission. 
  • Capturing video, audio, or photography of chat interactions with fellow attendees without the attendee’s permission. 
  • Capturing video, audio, or photography of content hosted on a virtual event platform. 
  • The use of AI notetakers. AI notetakers will not be admitted into any NGMA virtual event.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend NGMA events. If you require reasonable accommodation to participate in any event, please contact info@ngma.org at least three weeks prior to the event.

By registering for any NGMA event, you agree to allow your data to be collected by NGMA and be transferred securely to and stored by third-party technology providers and/or event partners, including but not limited to meeting app providers (Zoom, Oasis, Personify and Conferences I/O), payment processors (Payscape),  host hotels (Washington Hilton, Omni Shoreham, The Generator, The LINE DC, The Normandy, The Churchill) and NGMA Corporate Alliance Partnership Program (CAPP) partners.

The purpose is for the fulfillment of the service(s) related to event registration and attendance; these may include but are not limited to processing payments, confirming hotel reservations/rooming needs, tracking session attendance and continuing professional education (CPE) credits. Additionally, NGMA CAPP partners may rent attendee data for marketing purposes under a single-use agreement.

All third-party providers and/or event partners have their own privacy and collection practices; NGMA is not responsible for their independent policies.

NGMA is committed to providing an inclusive, safe, professional, and welcoming environment for all meeting participants, including, but not limited to, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, vendors, NGMA staff members, and all others. By registering for and attending NGMA’s virtual meetings and events, all meeting participants are expected to adhere to this virtual meeting code of conduct. 

Registration Policies

Registrants for individual virtual meetings (like webinars, Fall Forum, and Grants Management Body of Knowledge trainings) will abide by all registration policies. Please be aware of these specific requirements for virtual registrants:

Login information is unique to each attendee and should never be forwarded and utilized by non-registrants.

Individual trainings shall not be used as classroom/group trainings. A single login is designed for an individual user. Duplicate logins will be removed without notification. Please email info@ngma.org  to inquire about group rates.

Copyrighted materials, including the Grants Management Body of Knowledge (GMBoK) Guide© shall not be reproduced, emailed, transferred, or stored in an accessible server, and they may not be used for sale, resale or other commercial use. See the specific licensee agreement on the registration form for more information.

Recording Policies

The following recording activities are prohibited at NGMA virtual events:

  • Capturing video, audio, or photography of slides, exhibitor/sponsor interactions or presentations without the presenters/author’s permission. 
  • Capturing video, audio, or photography of chat interactions with fellow attendees without the attendee’s permission. 
  • Capturing video, audio, or photography of content hosted in a virtual event platform. 
  • The use of AI notetakers. AI notetakers will not be admitted into any NGMA virtual event. 

Behavior Policies

NGMA expects all virtual meeting and event participants to help foster an inviting experience for all attendees. NGMA has zero tolerance for any form of discrimination or harassment, and unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated during any portion of NGMA’s virtual meetings or events.

Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form. Examples include but are not limited to bullying, name-calling, demeaning or insulting comments or threats.
  • Harmful or prejudicial verbal or written comments, or images, related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, or other class protected by law. Such comments or images shall not be directed toward any meeting participant (as defined above), including NGMA staff members.
  • Disruption of presentations during sessions through spoken or written comments. This extends to public and one-to-one chats, Q&A modules, and other areas where interaction is encouraged in the virtual event platform. NGMA reserves the right to to remove messages which detract from the learning environment. 
  • Presentations, postings, and messages containing promotional materials, job offers, or solicitation for services, unless pre-approved by NGMA. NGMA reserves the right to remove such messages and instances of unauthorized solicitations.

In response to any incident of unacceptable behavior, NGMA reserves the right to take immediate action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the virtual event without warning or refund. NGMA also reserves the right to prohibit attendance, either virtually or in person, to future NGMA meetings and events, including those sponsored by organizations other than NGMA but held in conjunction with NGMA events, on public or private platforms.

All those in attendance at NGMA in-person events agree to abide by the In-Person Meeting Code of Conduct, the Duty of Care, Waiver and Release of Liability for Communicable Disease.

All those in attendance at NGMA virtual events agree to abide by the Virtual Meeting Code of Conduct.

Duty of Care for Communicable Disease

  • I agree to abide by all advisories, policies, procedures and protocols established by federal, state and local government agencies and officials; the event venue; or by NGMA that are designed to limit the spread of a communicable disease.
  • I will not attend the event if I have received a positive test of a communicable disease within five days of travel, are showing any symptoms, or have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for or who has symptoms of a communicable disease.
  • Should I begin to actively experience symptoms during the event I will self-quarantine immediately and notify NGMA staff at info@ngma.org.
  • My failure to adhere to these standards may result in NGMA taking any action it deems appropriate, including but not limited to expulsion from the current and future meetings, with no warning or refund. 

Waiver and Release of Liability for Communicable Disease

  • I acknowledge that NGMA cannot guarantee that I will not be exposed to or contract a communicable disease at the event. Further, due to the nature of the facilities, services and programs offered at this event, I understand that attending the event could increase my risk of contracting a communicable disease.
  • I understand the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by a communicable disease by attending the event, and that such exposure or infection may result in quarantine requirements, serious illness, permanent disability, and/or death to myself, my spouse, guests, child(ren), unborn child, or relatives.
  • I further understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by a communicable disease at the event may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, NGMA, its officers, staff, contractors, agents, representatives, sponsors, other participants, and any owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“releasees”). I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, BOTH KNOWN AND UNKNOWN, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, and assume full responsibility for my participation in the event.
  • In consideration of being allowed to participate in the event, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, acknowledge and agree to RELEASE, COVENANT NOT TO SUE, DISCHARGE AND HOLD HARMLESS the releasees, with respect to any and all liabilities, claims, penalties, suits, demands, judgments, costs, interests, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees and costs) arising from or relating to the illness, disability, or death of myself (or any person who may contract a communicable disease, directly or indirectly, from me), as a direct or indirect result, in whole or in part, of a communicable disease, to the fullest extent permitted by law. THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY INCLUDES ANY CLAIMS BASED ON THE ACTIONS, OMISSIONS, OR NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, WHETHER AN INFECTION OCCURS BEFORE, DURING, OR AFTER PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT.
