May 1, 2025 – STERLING, VA – Lisa Stinson, CPA, CGMS, a partner at accounting firm Crowe, LLP, has been elected to serve on the National Grants Management Association (NGMA) Board of Directors. Her three-year term began on May 1. With more than 20 years of experience in public accounting, Stinson provides accounting, auditing, and consulting services to government and nonprofit clients. She has managed financial audits, compliance examinations, performance audits, agreed-upon procedures, and various consulting projects. Her client experience has focused on state agencies, counties, institutions of higher education, nonprofits, and municipalities. She also oversees the training curriculum for Crowe’s Public Sector Group.

Stinson holds an MBA from the University of Illinois and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS). She has served as chair of the NGMA Springfield, IL Chapter and has spoken numerous times at NGMA’s Annual Grants Training, the largest annual training event in the grants management profession.
Stinson was elected by Association members by majority vote during the NGMA Board elections in February 2025. The NGMA Board of Directors is comprised of 12 member volunteers with experience in professional leadership roles and in grants management across numerous sectors including federal, state and local governments; education (K-12 and institutes of higher education); and nonprofits.
