Is De Minimis Right for You?

It has been over ten years since OMB introduced the de minimis rate as an alternative to the traditional negotiated indirect cost rate agreement or NICRA. Initially pegged at 10% of modified total direct cost (MTDC), today grantees and sub-grantees are allowed to set their rate at “up to” 15%.
