ReInventing Grants Management: The HHS Vision

Presented by: Michael S. Peckham, ReInvent Grants Management Lead

The ReInvent Grants Management (RGM) Initiative is one of ten Initiatives under the ReImagine HHS Department-wide transformation. Building upon work completed under the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act (DATA Act), RGM aims to improve the grants management experience for grantors and grant recipients. The overall vision of RGM is to create a single user experience, improve grants management administration, and enhance grants performance measurement in order to increase transparency and efficiency, improve optimization of resources, and eliminate duplication among all stakeholders involved in the grants process.

Learning Objectives:
  1. To demonstrate how the DATA Act is foundational to the ReInvent Grants Management (RGM) initiative.
  2. To provide an understanding of how HHS took a comprehensive look at processes within the Department and identified ways to become more efficient in its mission.
  3. To provide an in-depth look into the strategic, measured, and methodical manner in which RGM aims to improve grants management at HHS.
