l about it! As you may know, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (“ARPA”)
was signed into law on March 11, 2021. The Act provides more than $1 tril
lion in funding to stimulate the economy and assist with COVID-19 relief, i
ncluding through new and pre-existing programs. A significant amount of fu
nds are required to be disbursed to governments within 60 days of the law’s
passage, and others are expected to flow shortly thereafter. During this
session, we will discuss key funding aspects of the legislation, specific a
reas of risk of noncompliance, interactions with funding streams authorized
under the CARES Act and the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, and bes
t practices to consider as your organization plans to receive, disburse, an
d manage both funding and performance.
