Making the Connection of Data Analytics, Data
Standardization and Federal Reporting to Federal
Grants and Funding Management

Recorded Webcast by Sandra Swab, Consultant, SRSwab Consulting

Over the past several years, federal grants recipients and funding agencies have been hearing about data analytics and data standardization and the need to incorporate these processes into grants management. This webinar will help recipients and funding agencies learn and understand how data analytics connects with data standardization, and in turn, results in the better collection of reported information from grant recipients. In addition, it will provide insight into how accurate data is needed for the transparency of information on federal funding and the relationships to the new and proposed federal reporting requirements. The discussion will provide insight into how data analytics impacts grants management throughout the grants life-cycle, using analysis to support evaluations and linking to data standardization.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain a basic understanding of data analytics as they pertain to grants management and funding management.

  • Use of data and evaluation throughout the life cycle of a grant for recipients and funding organizations.

  • Gain a basic understanding of how data analytics (data collection) can impact data standardization.

  • Provide insights into proposed legislation and policies that may influence data collection, standardization and reporting.
