Subrecipient Monitoring Best Practices

During this session we will discuss how a pass-through entity must monitor the subrecipient to ensure that the funds awarded to them are used for authorized purposes, in compliance with Federal statutes and regulations, achieve performance goals, and how the  2 CFR 200 guides what activities must be included during the post-award subrecipient monitoring.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss the difference between a subrecipient and a contractor

  • Learn about the importance of subrecipient monitoring 

  • Discuss the activities that are required by the 2 CFR 200 during subrecipient monitoring
