You will learn about the laws, regulations, and policies affecting your administration of Federal grants.

  • Our trainers will review the most recent updates to the Uniform Guidance published at 2 CFR 200 so that you can update your grant policies and procedures at your organization.

The GMBoK Training provides an in-depth understanding of the grants management lifecycle, from solicitation to application evaluation to the closeout and audit phases. It covers the laws, regulations, and policies affecting federal compliance while calling specific attention to recent changes affecting the administration of federal awards.

Some of the goals of this course include:

  • Be familiar with the newly mandated pre-award risk assessment including the newest government database the Federal Awardee Performance and Integrity Information System

  • Find out about the new certifications and mandatory disclosures

  • Recognize the changes in the procurement standards

  • Appreciate the increased responsibilities in managing your subrecipients

  • Understand the changes in the cost principles and audit requirements

Prerequisite and
Advanced Preparation
  A minimum of a bachelor’s degree plus 1-2 years of full-time grants management experience or 3-4 years of grants management experience without a degree. The familiarity of 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance is required.

Cancellation Policy   Cancellations received prior to February 19, 2021 will be eligible for a NGMA credit or refund. Cancellations received after February 19, 2021 will be eligible for a full NGMA credit. Credits and refunds are not given for no-shows. NGMA accepts substitutions until March 22, 2021. If a nonmember substitutes for a member, the difference between the two rates will be due for payment.
