Risk Assessments for Federal Grants

Federal Regulations in 2 CFR 200 establish a framework for risk assessment, leaving it to pass through recipients to establish their own framework for managing subrecipient risk. Risk assessment involves managerial, financial, technical, and organizational risk.

Organizing your risk assessments in a logical fashion makes it clear to you and your sub-recipients what factors are involved in risk assessment and guides your organization's subrecipient monitoring.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the Requirements of the Uniform Guidance for Risk Assessment
  • Know how to collect data and metrics used in Risk Assessment
  • Implement monitoring programs based on risk assessment results.
