Tales from the Trail--Monitoring Subrecipients

This course will discuss practical considerations of monitoring Subrecipient’s of a federal award. Various types of monitoring tools are at your disposal and choosing the correct one is critical to effective monitoring. It can also reduce your risk and liabilities in the event that you are audited. The practical considerations of setting up a risk matrix, conducting a monitoring visit, writing an evaluation, and following up on results will be presented in this webinar.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the different types of monitoring techniques
  • Schedule and facilitate monitoring meetings
  • Properly utilize a pre-award risk matrix and conduct monitoring based on risk
  • Write effective evaluations and Corrective Action plans

 In order to be awarded the full CPE, you must be present and you must sign in and also sign out on the attendance sheets at the registration desk

Upon arriving at the tower, go to the security desk closest to the 35th floor bank of elevators. Let them know you are attending at meeting at the Office of Budget and Management on the 35th floor. They will check you in and provide you access to the elevators. Once arriving on the 35th floor, the conference room is the first large room facing the elevators. Please do not bring bookbags or brief cases as you will not be allowed to bring them up to the 35th floor.

Parking Instructions:
No parking is available on-site. Several garages and meters around the downtown area provide hourly parking.
