2022 Virtual Grants Management Body of Knowledge Training

Why Should You Attend?

  • Grants Management Body of Knowledge (GMBoK) training will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the full grants lifecycle, from solicitation and evaluation of applications to closeout and audit. Learn about the laws, regulations and policies affecting your administration of federal grants. 

  • Trainers will review the most recent updates to the Uniform Guidance published at 2 CFR 200 so that you may update your grant policies and procedures at your organization.

  • Learn to recognize the importance of internal controls in managing federal awards and reducing the risk of fraud, waste and abuse and how to better manage your recipients and subrecipients.

  • Understand the audit requirements for all parties, including auditors, auditees and the awarding agencies.

  • Planning to sit for the Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) exam? This is a good starting point in preparation for the exam, as it covers the five domains of grants management.

  • All registrants will receive the coveted GMBoK Guide, a foundational resource for all grants management professionals. PLEASE NOTE: GMBoK Guides will ship two weeks before the training dates.

  • Participants may earn up to 13 CPE credits. (Field of Study: Specialized Knowledge)

Registration deadline to receive a copy of the GMBoK Guide

Those who register after August 31, 2022 will receive a copy of the
GMBoK Guide AFTER the training. An online copy will be provided during the training.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Prerequisite and
Advanced Preparation		   A minimum of a bachelor’s degree plus 1-2 years of full-time grants management experience or 3-4 years of grants management experience without a degree. Familiarity with 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance is required.

Cancellation/Transfer/
Substitution Policy		  

Cancellations

All requests for cancellations must be made in writing directly by the registrant. The below refund policy applies:

  • By midnight ET, August 31 - Cancellations are eligible for a refund minus a $50 service fee.

  • September 1 - 8 - Cancellations are eligible for a refund minus $300 (includes the cost of the GMBoK Guide).

  • After September 8 – Cancellations and no shows are not eligible for refunds.

No credits will be given in lieu of refunds. Refunds by check may not be issued until the conclusion of the event.
 
Transfers/Substitutions

Requests for transfer/substitutions must be made in writing directly by the registrants; we will not accept request by an employer. The below transfer/substitution policy applies:

  • By midnight ET, August 31 – No cost for transfers/substitutions; should a nonmember substitute for a member, the difference between fees will be due at the time of transfer.

  • After August 31 – No transfers/substitutions will be allowed.

  
Code of Conduct
   All attendees of NGMA’s virtual events agree to NGMA’s virtual code of conduct.

State Boards of Accountancy have the final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
